February Meeting Minutes Lois Roth The Oklahoma Accordion Club held its first meeting of the year on Sunday, February 11, 2024. The January meeting had been canceled because of inclement weather. aggie Abel called us to order at 3:30 pm. Total attendance was 15. We recited The Pledge of Allegiance, led by Ron Shearon. We sang "America the Beautiful," accompanied by Anne Lopez and Lois Roth. Maggie introduced all the attendees. The music began with a Valentine sing-along: "Love Makes the World Go 'Round," and "Have I Told You Lately." Anne and Lois provided the music. The duo then performed "The Song From Moulin Rouge," "La Vie En Rose," and "Only You. ' Anne soloed with "Under Paris Skies." Sil Lopez sang "Quizas, Quizas, Quizas" ("Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps"), accompanied by Anne on accordion. John Warren joined in for a jam session of many old favorites, including "When The Saints Go Marching In" and "Jambalaya" for Mardi Gras. Anne and Lois played "Lucky Polka." Ron Shearon told us some interesting facts about the hymn "Amazing Grace." Then he played the song. The meeting was adjourned. Our next meeting will be Sunday, March 10.
